Community Yard Sale

7:00 am - 2:00 pm. The Alexandria Jaycees have been holding Community Yard Sales (one of our main fundraisers) off and on since 1996. In recent years, the Community Yard Sale has evolved into a small flea market. We need volunteers to be on-site and supervise the vendors' set-up and tear down. Taste of Arlington & Chapter visitation! May 18

1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Meet us at the Arlington Jaycee Membership Table & face-painting booth. This takes place at the Ballston Common Mall and Wilson Boulevard. This is a chapter visitation—we will be visiting the Arlington Jaycee’s Membership Booth to see if we can help with recruiting or handing out materials. But also, we are there to enjoy the festival! Admission is free, but the price for “food tickets” is $2 per ticket, or cheaper if bought in advance. Red Cross Waterfront Festival
June 14

2:30pm - 6:30pm The Jaycees need Old Town Alexandria, Waterfront. 12 volunteers are needed to help serve beer to help raise money for the Alexandria Chapter of the Red Cross. All volunteers will receive free entrance to the festival (a $15 value!) and a free t-shirt. Anyone who has not received the Red Cross Alcohol Awareness Training will need to attend a special training class, time and date TBD. Contact Amy at cd_vp@alexjaycees.org for more information.
