Yard Sales

2008 Community Yard Sales

The Alexandria Jaycees have been holding Community Yard Sales (one of our main fundraisers) off and on since 1996. In recent years, the Community Yard Sale has evolved into a small flea market. We need volunteers to be on-site and supervise the vendors' set-up and tear down. Please contact Cathy for more information or to volunteer: president@alexjaycees.org. Jaycees can reserve one space per sale at no charge.

Vendor Information:

Please download our seller information packet. It explains our rules and regulations and provides you with all the information you need to know. To view this packet, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have this program installed on your computer, please take a minute to download and install your free copy off the Internet by clicking on the graphic above.

** Please note any vendors violating the rules of seller conduct or all regulations as set forth by the Alexandria Jaycees can and will be banned from future events. Appropriate authorities will be notified if necessary.

  • You must bring your own table(s).
  • As you arrive the morning of the event, a Jaycee will greet you and give you a packet of information that outlines our policies regarding the yard sales.
  • It is extremely important that you haul away your trash and unsold items after the event, as the Jaycees have no trucks to dispose of your items. Failure to follow this rule will result in a clean-up fee equal to the cost of renting a truck if necessary; or $25 if a truck is not required.

Free Vendor Space for Charitable Organizations:

Occasionally, the Alexandria Jaycees will provide free space(s) to local charitable organizations to sell their merchandise. For example, free space has been given in the past to Community Lodgings, boy scout troops, etc. If you are interested, e-mail yardsale@alexjaycees.org and make sure to state your organization's name, purpose, and the date you'd like to sell.

Food/
Beverages:

The Alexandria Jaycees operate a concessions booth at each yard sale. Our lunch menu features cold sodas and bottled water, hotdogs, chips, etc.

No one is allowed to sell food or beverages except the Alexandria Jaycees.

Bathrooms:

Bathroom facilities are available at this event.
